Beam Suntory-owned Bowmore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is celebrating Dubai Duty Free’s landmark 40th anniversary with a limited-edition single cask release. This exceptional collector’s edition will be available exclusively at the retailer’s airport locations from December, alongside being Dubai Duty Free’s Malt of the Month.
Carefully crafted for over 240 years, Bowmore creates exceptionally expressive whiskies which take the consumer on an immersive journey with flavour at its heart. Bowmore Single Cask 1997 showcases how flavour evolves over time to create the signature expressive style of the whisky.
Bottled in 1997 and with an ABV of 49.7%, this limited Bowmore release has been full matured in a first fill American Oak Hogshead cask, capturing its distinctive flavour. With only 176 bottles available, each with the cask number printed on the label, this whisky is set to capture the imagination of collectors and whisky lovers. The RRSP is US$900.
This exquisite whisky incorporates notes of sweet oranges, vanilla crème brûlée, coconut, toasted walnuts and salted caramel on the nose. Deep copper hues reveal a fruity and vibrant character, offering notes of charred orange rind, fresh pineapple and soft fudge. The finish is sweet, fruity and smooth.
The launch of Bowmore 1997 Single Cask Dubai will be supported by a selection of high-profile promotional sites at Dubai International Airport, including Concourse D Terminal 1 Departures and the Terminal 3 Arrivals Malt of the Month area.
