This August, DFS welcomes a new pop-up store at the downtown T Galleria store featuring German luxury label, MCM. Happening from August till September, the refreshing pop-up will offer a wide selection of luxury leather goods from the Spring Summer 2014 and Fall Winter 2014 collections.
“We chose to introduce MCM to T Galleria because the brand is largely inspired by luxury, craftsmanship and global lifestyles – all of which are in line with the DFS brand. With a more youthful and bold aesthetic, MCM will also add diversity to the current mix of luxury brands at T Galleria and cater to current customer preferences,” says Francois Rosset, Managing Director of DFS for Singapore.
Offering the largest selection of leather goods among all MCM counters in Singapore, the popup store in T Galleria will showcase styles from the Spring Summer Collection such as backpacks from the STARK range in its heritage colours of cognac and black as well as seasonal colours of white and teal blue.
Key styles from Fall Winter 2014 collection include the iconic MCM Strasse Visetos Backpack, SGD 1390 and the MCM Balam Visetos Backpack, SGD 1175. Apart from that, shoppers can also expect to find reversible nylon and canvas versions of the signature STARK backpack, tote bags, satchels as well as other small leather goods from the Fall Winter 2014 collection.
Each MCM bag is an elegant demonstration of expert craftsmanship by only the best and most experienced artisans. To ensure each bag meets MCM’s standards, more than half of the manufacturing process is done by hand, with the remaining portion crafted with mechanical support. Raw materials of the highest quality are sourced from various parts of the world,
including precious leathers and hardware from Italy as well as linings, anti-pollution hardware, and the iconic Visetos monogram canvas from Germany.
To add a personal touch, the eco-friendly MCM bags are also branded with a brass plate that bears a number unique to each piece, a signature detail that connects each owner with MCM’s skilled artisans.
