Jean Paul Gaultier presents new limited editions of his most famous fragrances Classique (1993) and Le Male (1995) in 2015, inspired by pirate motifs. Classique Pirate Edition and Le Male Pirate Edition carry the original fragrances but re-packaged in a new, fun costumes.
“The intrepid couple. The legendary couple sets out on an exciting treasure hunt, which will take them to the far reaches of the open seas. Determined to face any sort of danger, the pirates raise the black flag and set sail.”
Jean Paul Gaultier’s iconic his-and-hers fragrance duo is playing dress up this season. In pirate-themed collector’s editions, Le Mâle and Classique are attired for adventure on the high seas.
Le Mâle and its feminine counterpart Classique take on a totally new look in the new collector’s editions. The first wears its usual striped top, only in black and white and with slightly frayed edges. Of course, no pirate look would be complete without the skull and crossbones, which Le Mâle sports in red. Similarly, the women’s fragrance dons a red and white striped dress, which is belted with a wide black band featuring the skull and crossbones.
The fragrances inside remain the same. Le Mâle combines peppermint, lavender, orange blossom and bergamot with a heart of vanilla and a woody accord. Classique, meanwhile, presents an accord of lemon, mandarin, bergamot and orange blossom over notes of jasmine, ginger, vanilla and cedar.
The two collector’s editions are already on sale in France and due in duty free locations soon.
