The Glenlivet to unveil rare 50-Year-Old Whisky Collection at DFS’ Masters of Wine and Spirits Event in Singapore

In a world first, The Glenlivet Winchester Collection will showcase a stunning trio of rare and precious 50-year-old single malt Scotch whiskies, available to purchase exclusively at DFS’ Masters of Wine and Spirits.

DFS, the world’s leading luxury travel retailer will host its eighth annual Masters of Wines and Spirits in Singapore at the end of March. The collection of rare, single malts is destined to be one of the most sought-after collections ever produced. This is the first time that single malts of this age expression have been available to buy together, as a trio. The limited offering will include the Winchester Collection Vintage 1964, Winchester Collection Vintage 1966 and Winchester Collection Vintage 1967.

With just 100 bottles of each variant available worldwide (and 150 bottles of the newest 1967 Vintage), The Glenlivet Winchester Collection will offer serious collectors and whisky enthusiasts alike the unique opportunity to own one of the most prestigious and rare malt whisky collections in the world. Furthermore, the 1967 Vintage has been created in collaboration with world-renowned designer, Bethan Gray, and is the perfect extension to this noteworthy and bespoke trio of expressions.

Laura Lung, Single Malts Portfolio Marketing Manager Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail, says “We are incredibly excited about all three whiskies on offer, with this prestigious trio laying claim to 50 years of unrivalled knowledge, unwavering care and unfaltering craft. DFS Group is one of the most luxurious travel retailers in the world, and with the Masters of Wine and Spirits being one of the most prestigious events of its kind – we couldn’t think of a more fitting occasion to launch the Glenlivet Winchester Collection.”

Encompassing the perfect marriage of spirit and cask, the 1964 Vintage releases a wonderfully rich aroma of fruity pear and peach nectar. Building on years of experience and expertise, this Vintage bursts with luscious fruit flavours of ripe pears and oranges, black cherries and smooth creamy toffee, resulting in a fantastically velvety texture.

The 1966 Vintage on the other hand, which was distilled by former Master Distiller Robert Arthur and is a tribute to George Smith, who created the Original Single Malt, is the perfect combination of spirit and the sherry cask, releasing a wonderful array of flavours. With an abundance of soft fruits, sweet treacle and juicy orange, intermingled with cinnamon and liquorice adding a layer of delicate spice. Starting from the first sip, a sweet texture envelops the palate.

Our 1967 Vintage is the third edition from the Collection with only 155 bottles available worldwide. The luxurious packaging has been created in collaboration with Elle Decoration Magazine’s Designer of the Year, Bethan Gray. Incredibly smooth and sweet with fondant orange and milk chocolate flavours in abundance, all with an amazing velvety texture. Matured in a precious hand-selected sherry cask it indulges the recipient with a rich, incredibly smooth and sweet flavours with a long and luxurious finish.

Each Vintage release as part of this exceptional collection has been cared for by generations of Master Distillers, and of course curated by current Master Distiller, Alan Winchester, from whom the collection takes its name.

The exclusive Glenlivet Winchester Collection will be available at DFS’ Masters of Wines and Spirits event in Singapore from March 23-24 with an RRP of $101,250 for the full set.
