Jameson has opened its new Taste House store in Dublin Airport – the first of its kind for the Irish whiskey brand.
Opening in Dublin Airport’s terminal two at The Loop, which is operated by travel retailer Aer Rianta International, the store will offer travel retail-exclusive products.
The Taste House store features an outside wall display of Jameson Original, as well as sculpted angel wings and an original hand-blown stained-glass artwork created by Irish artist James Earley.
Inside, travellers will be able to explore Irish Distillers’ portfolio of whiskeys, including the travel retail-exclusive Jameson Triple Triple and bottlings from Redbreast and Midleton Very Rare.
Mohit Lal, CEO at Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail, said: “We’re continually looking for ways to improve the experience of our consumers, and the Jameson Taste House illustrates our dedication to be at the forefront of innovation within the travel retail channel.
“Hosting the latest developments designed to excite, engage and adhere to post-pandemic demands, we are proud to have partnered with Aer Rianta International on this new concept store.”
The store offers digital elements to enable shoppers to learn more about products on offer and the history of Jameson Irish whiskey.
Travellers will also be able to purchase personalised bottles of Jameson Black Barrel featuring their names printed on the label.
Once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, the Jameson Taste House will also host tasting experiences and cocktail-making sessions.
Ray Hernan, Aer Rianta International chief executive, said: “Like the team at Irish Distillers, we are passionate about innovation and offering travellers new, exclusive products and experiences that they can only find in Aer Rianta International stores.
“We are delighted to be chosen as the first airport partner to launch the Jameson Taste House. Jameson is a key driver of success for the Irish whiskey collection at The Loop, this will be a must-visit, exciting destination for our customers”.
