The new Louis Vuitton campaign starring Karlie Kloss and Kris Wu unveils Horizon Soft, the latest luggage collection designed by Marc Newson.
Following his first breakthrough hard case luggage collection for Louis Vuitton, Marc Newson has once again pushed the boundaries of travel design with his new Horizon Soft rolling luggage. With the goal of maximising interior volume while minimising weight, two essential elements when travelling, the design uses an innovative outer-shell made of thermo-formed 3D knit. The result is an incredibly lightweight and eye-catching double-sided jacquard featuring Newson’s interpretation of Louis Vuitton’s Monogram. Through an innovative process tailored to Louis Vuitton’s specifications, a custom technical yarn is seamlessly knitted into a single piece that is given a water repellent treatment and then heat-formed to shape.
To introduce the new collection, Karlie Kloss and Kris Wu embody the sense of freedom at the heart of Louis Vuitton’s historic Spirit of Travel. Lightweight, yet strong and resistant, the new Horizon Soft offers an unparalleled experience for modern frequent travellers.
