Mondelēz World Travel Retail (WTR) has extended Marabou’s presence in duty-free with the launch of a Marabou Biscoff chocolate tablet presented in travel retail exclusive packaging. The flavour, which launched earlier this year in some domestic markets, brings together Marabou – one of Sweden’s most beloved brands since its launch in 1916 – with the distinctive caramelised flavour and crunchy texture of Lotus Biscoff biscuit.

The 160g tablet combines Marabou’s iconic milk chocolate, known for its subtle caramelised notes, with crisp Lotus Biscoff biscuit pieces. The tablet is presented in exclusive gold packaging, reflecting its premium travel retail design.

The launch builds on the strong consumer appeal of chocolate and Biscoff combinations, following the success of Biscoff collaborations across Mondelēz brands including Milka and Cadbury. With taste remaining a key purchase driver for consumers, the new Marabou Biscoff 160g tablet brings a proven flavour pairing into a format created for travelling consumers.

As one of the leading chocolate brands in Sweden and Denmark, Marabou is well placed to bring this offer to travel retail. Lotus Biscoff also continues to enjoy strong global awareness, particularly among Gen Z consumers on social media, supporting anticipation for the product’s introduction to the channel.

The launch comes as Marabou marks 110 years since the brand began chocolate production in Sundbyberg. The brand later relocated to Upplands Väsby in 1976, where the factory has continued to expand.

Anna Somogyi, Director Category, Customer & Shopper Marketing, Mondelēz World Travel Retail, said: “Marabou is one of Sweden’s most beloved brands, with a heritage that goes back more than a century and a strong connection with consumers across the Nordic region. With Marabou Biscoff 160g, we are bringing that strong local identity into travel retail through channel-exclusive packaging and a flavour combination that already has broad consumer appeal and proven success across multiple markets. By combining Marabou’s iconic milk chocolate with the distinctive taste and crunch of Lotus Biscoff, we have created a product that feels both familiar and exciting for travellers seeking something new.”

Marabou Biscoff 160g became a permanent addition to Marabou’s regular travel retail assortment in June 2026.
