Prada is raising it’s fragrance game with a stunning new ten piece fragrance collection – Prada Olfactories – rolling out exclusively at Galeries Lafayette now and going global soon after.

Prada is creating a luxurious fragrance collection, composed of ten new scents – Prada Olfactories – with Galeries Lafayette partnered up as the exclusive first retailer in Milan and New York, where stores will premiere the collection at the end of this month, before a more global distribution including selected duty-free retailers.

Miuccia Prada has tapped trusted perfumer, Givaudan’s Daniela Andrier, to translate her vision of ten different senses into unique fragrances. The partnership between the two dates back 13 years: “It’s all about the trust and the understanding with us,” said Andrier. “[Miuccia Prada] comes up with the vision; I simply translate it to scent. I have the right alphabet to express her vision, as chemical poems. But it’s not briefing in the normal, boring way.” Andrier added that the scents are all intended to be “potent concoctions of the unexpected, provoking the cinematic experience of a partially remembered dream,” she continued. “It’s a strong vision that is far from cliché. They’re very different from what you’ll find on the market. They’re not done studying the trends of the market and create a bestseller; they are done out of the spirit of Prada.”

Fragrances include; Purple Rain, a reimagined version of Prada’s Iris scent; Nue au Soleil, said to be inspired by orange blossoms dipped in gold; Un Chant D’Amour, a calming scent inspired by crisp cotton; Cargo de Nuit, “the scent of a twilight passage on the high seas” and more.

Each fragrance comes presented in its own fabric pouch and retail prices are set at $300 for the US and €230 in Europe, for a 3.4 oz eaux de parfum bottle.
