“Game of Thrones” is approaching its eighth and final season this springtime, but superfans can take comfort in the fact that the franchise is being immortalized as a makeup collection by Urban Decay.
The beauty brand behind the popular Naked Palette recently announced a Game of Thrones-inspired collection, and while little information has been released, the teaser photos look, well, appropriately epic. The cruelty-free beauty brand has teamed up with HBO’s hit TV show to launch a beauty collaboration which, according to a teaser video posted to the label’s Instagram page, is set for release in April — when the newest series of the show will air.
Details regarding the exact contents of the collection are being kept under wraps for now, but the promotional images hint at highly-pigmented eyeshadows and lipsticks with metallic finishes, in vivid fiery bronzes and icy blue hues. There is speculation that the brand’s hashtag #forthethrone could be a hint about the name of the collection.
“Worlds will collide,” the official Urban Decay Instagram account wrote on February 22 alongside a video hinting at a fire and ice motif. Another photo noted “We are ready,” with the tagline “For the throne.” Urban Decay has referred to the collaboration as being “inspired by our favorite places in Westeros and the strong women of the Seven Kingdoms.”
Stay tuned for more news as it arrives.
