The new Dior pump, with its flatteringly low-cut front and impertinent slice of a heel, is a shoe that stands apart. Its design is the culmination of an idea developed over more than sixty years. Get ready to discover a shoe like no other. Look out for them at Dior boutiques in airports around the world…
Its heel was specially conceived to lengthen the silhouette, giving it a feminine poise and enhancing the curve of the leg. Utterly unique, it’s entirely lapped in leather, accentuating its finesse. The shoe’s décolleté and its extremely pointed toe serve to lengthen the leg and exaggerate the arch of the instep. The subtly flaring stiletto heel alludes to its origins: Dioressence reinterprets a classic designed for the Dior spring-summer 1959 collection while still totally tapping into the House’s most current inspirations.
“A touch of color is enough to change your appearance,” wrote Christian Dior in his Little Dictionary of Fashion. Inspired by the couturier’s vision, the Dioressence pumps come in different materials – satiny lambskin, patent or iridescent calf – and a large choice of colors, including two indelibly linked to the House. Black, the most elegant of colors according to Christian Dior, and pale pink, which he considered “the color of happiness and femininity”.
For the more daring out there, the options encompass ochre, military green, cognac, “Trafalgar” red, bronze, white, anthracite gray, as well as blues in inky, azure, navy and midnight shades. Drenched in colour, Dioressence add the finishing dash to the silhouette by enhancing its very essence.
