LINDT & Sprüngli will launch a limited edition LINDOR Mango & Cream flavour, which will be making its first global appearance exclusively in the travel retail channel at the Tax Free World Association World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes during October.

Peter Zehnder, head of the Lindt & Sprüngli global duty free division said: “This new flavour, of delicious white chocolate encasing smooth melting mango and cream is truly sunning, and offers chocolate lovers a divine taste of tropical paradise. Mango is very much a flavour of the moment, and mango and cream is the perfect complement to the other flavours.”

The new flavour will feature in an eye-catching summer-fresh yellow Limited Edition 387g tube. The LINDOR ‘summer sensation’ will be promoted via the LINDOR Flavour Festival marketing initiative at various outlets. This will include bespoke POS communication, live sampling of the new variety to ‘bring the summer alive’ at airports all around the globe.

This latest launch builds on the strong track record of the LINDOR limited edition, which has been a perennial best seller across the globe, achieving sales growth in double digits. In 2016, an international promotional programme called Flavour Festival was launched to answer consumers’ calls for variety, and to highlight the breadth of enticing flavours, added a further boost to sales. Attention-grabbing ‘flavour pillars’, displaying a colourful tower of LINDOR flavours and other promotional elements underpinned the success of the promotion. These included a gift-with-purchase mix and match bag, which allowed consumers to carry home their own selection of three tubes, paired with an attractive introductory price offer.

The new limited edition will be available from February 2017 and can be seen on the LINDT stand Marine Village (R5 and R7) at Cannes.
