Maui Jim teams with DFS and King Power Duty Free to catch the eye of travelling shoppers

Premium polarised sunglasses supplier Maui Jim has paired up with key travel retailers DFS and King Power to demonstrate their latest collection of fashion, sport and everyday frames to travellers.

The Hawaii-based brand is in the spotlight in the DFS store at Honolulu Airport, where promoters are helping shoppers to select from more than 50 eye-catching frames at a dedicated pop-up shop until the end of December, including the best-selling Pokowai Arch, Waihee Ridge and Lava Tube frames.

Brand promoters were also on hand to present the Maui Jim Polarizedplus2 collection at King Power Phuket Downtown Duty Free store through July and August, where the Alelele Bridge and Kaupo Gap styles jostled Pokowai Arch off the best-seller podium.

Across Europe, Maui Jim teamed up with Dufry this summer with new listings from Aberdeen Airport in the north to Antalya in the south, launching in a total of 23 new airport locations in France, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Turkey and the UK as well as the P&O MV Ventura cruiseship.

A partnership with Gebr Heinemann completed the European sweep with seven new listings for Maui Jim this year in airport and border stores in Belarus, Russia, Turkmenistan and Ukraine.

Add to those a series of earlier promotions, including Chicago, Cancun, Oslo and Singapore, and it is clear that Maui Jim has market growth in its sights.
