Global music star Rihanna is adding yet another string to her career bow with plans for the launch of her first beauty collection – Fenty Beauty.
No stranger to the beauty world, the singer first entered the fragrance game in 2011 and has launched five scents since – Reb’l Fleur, Rebelle, Nude, Rogue and, most recently, RiRi – and also collaborated on a series of make-up collections with MAC. This will be the first time she has created products under her own brand name.
Speaking to Refinery29 about the fact that she quietly bought the ‘Fenty Beauty’ trademark last year (Rihanna’s real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty), she explained: “That is definitely something I am going to have my hands on and would love to do. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, but I’ve always had so much on my hands. But, this time, I’m going to make sure it happens. I’m going to find some time between albums and fragrance to do that. I promise.”
