Very rare Rosebank Vintage 1990 bottling goes on sale at World Duty Free

An extremely limited, travel retail exclusive bottling of Rosebank Vintage 1990 is being introduced into European travel retail in partnership with Dufry.

There are just 200 bottles globally of this special Rosebank expression which is now available in World Duty Free stores at London Heathrow, Edinburgh and Glasgow airports.

This first listing in Europe of Rosebank Vintage 1990 comes after the initial launch with DFS at Singapore Changi Airport T3 in March 2020, followed by Le Clos at Dubai International Airport in October 2020.

This Rosebank vintage was cask-filled in 1990, prior to the 1993 closure of the original distillery. It was the first release to the trade under IMD ownership and marks the impending revival of the distillery to the delight of connoisseurs globally.

Rosebank Vintage 1990 (ABV 48% 70cl) is housed in an ornate bottle which features stunning engraved rose detail and is presented with an authenticity certificate in a red wooden cylinder. This exquisite malt is wonderfully light and delicate with citrus, spearmint and apple aromas, white chocolate and tropical notes on the palate and a crisp rich finish. Renowned as ‘The King of the Lowlands’, Rosebank is the gold standard for the Lowland Single Malt category and famous for its smooth, fruity character and contrasting light but full flavour.

We are delighted to partner with World Duty Free to make this prized whisky available once again.”

Ian Macleod Distillers acquired the distillery and the remaining stocks in October 2017 and is in the process of rebuilding the distillery and creating a state-of-the-art visitor centre on the original site.
