LOEWE announces the opening of its new store at Istanbul Airport, in partnership with IGA and Unifree Duty Free.
Located at the entrance to Luxury Square in Zone 5 of the departures floor, immediately after security, the 69 sqm store sits within one of the world’s busiest international hubs. It presents a full range of the House’s women’s collections, spanning ready-to-wear, bags, small leather goods, scarves and shawls, shoes, belts, blankets and cushions, and eyewear.
Inspired by the CASA LOEWE concept, the interior is defined by hand-glazed ceramics in caramel, amber, and soft white, set against expansive concrete surfaces, with brass and marble adding a refined contrast. In the window, glazed cylindrical ceramic pieces act as sculptural accents.
Products are placed in dialogue with pieces of art, craft, and design: Made in Port Elizabeth (1975), a glazed ceramic figure by South African artist Hylton Nel, is presented alongside a George III oak cricket table (c. 1760). A Puffer bench in tufted leather, crafted in Spain, and a bespoke wool rug in the women’s shoe area, handwoven in Spain and inspired by the geometries and silences of the Spanish islands, complete the space.
